ESSKIA National Dry Slope Finals

Last weekend saw our U16 Boys’ Ski race team set off for Norwich for the ESSKIA National dry slope finals. The team, comprising of Max Chapman, Evan Henley, Edward Homard and Charlie Wells (all Third Form) had qualified for this competition via the South East regionals.

Lord Lieutenant of Kent Awards

This week saw Major Millbery, CCF Contingent Commander, attend the Lord Lieutenant of Kent Awards to honour Major Prem Ale, our CCF Adjutant. Each recipient of the Lord-Lieutenant’s Certificates for Meritorious Service marches to stand next to the Lord Lieutenant of Kent, The Lady Colgrain, whilst a citation, detailing reasons for the award, is read. As suspected, last Saturday was a brilliant day for hundreds of people here. After a very positive prospective student Open Day in the morning (with over 200 visitors), the sun continued to shine throughout the afternoon where we enjoyed the coming together of a wide-ranging group of Old Suttonians (ranging from their 20s to their 80s) for an OS Open Afternoon, followed by a beautiful afternoon of fixtures.
