We have had over 50 of our current Lower Sixth students apply to be School Prefects for next year and Mr Farrell and I have been interviewing them all individually this week, hearing their passion for the School and ideas for the future.

On Tuesday, Cobham Hall travelled to us for a swimming gala. Despite the majority of the Senior Girls swimming team being absent due to their Hockey final, the younger girls filled in with some girls swimming in multiple age categories.

Within the last month, Seb H (Second Form), Finn J, Marcus R (both Fourth Form) and Charles S (Lower Sixth) have been taking part in the Kent County Championships. This takes place over several weekends in K2 Crawley and London Aquatics Centre and they have all taken part in multiple events.

This week started with a session for our Upper Sixth students, delving into the topic of unconscious bias. Our brains tend to take shortcuts to make quick judgments, but this can often lead to mistakes. For instance, the 'spotlight bias' can cause us to overestimate how much attention others pay to our appearance or behaviour in social situations, leading to unnecessary anxiety.
