On 4th December, the Westminster and Grey Coat Foundation held their annual Art exhibition at the Tanya Baxter Contemporary Gallery in Chelsea. All five UWGCF schools were well-represented, with a collection of mixed-media pieces by students from SVPS, as well as a strong and diverse body of work from the Senior School, featuring Art and Photography at GCSE and A level.
As always, the event was very well attended, as an engaged and enthusiastic audience of students, parents, teachers and dignitaries moved around the impressive display.
Five pieces of Art work, created by Year 6 pupils were on display: Lydia Alexander’s Falling Into A Fairytale, Max Chapman with Keeping an Eye on London, Meredith McInulty whose Saving the Turtles was shown, Zeb Courtney’s Peace and Zachary Theobald with Swinging from Trapeze.
Former SVS students Henry Jones, Phoebe Aucamp, Jack McNama and Verity Streek, as well as current students Isabella Dransfield, Molly Veasey, Connor Field, Tess Pritchard and Jack Walker all had work on show.
Comments about the artwork were highly positive.
