In Humanities, our Year 3 children are creating a working wall to support their Weather and Climate topic. They have identified the continents and become aware of the significance of the equator and the tropics. After bringing in photos of their travels, the children located them on a world map. They have also been learning how to use an atlas and have used the atlas to find out more specific details about their destination’s climate and weather patterns. They have studied things such as average annual rainfall graphs, average annual temperature graphs and learnt how to read a key to know what specific climate zone their country falls in. The picture below shows our display so far.
