Yesterday the U14As travelled to Sevenoaks to compete in the Tier 2 County tournament. In the group stage, they played St Dunstan’s, winning 2-0, drew 0-0 with Kent College Pembury, beat Langley Park 3-0 and won against Duke of York’s 7-0. This meant they topped the group and faced Ashford in the semi-final which the team won 1-0. In the final, they faced a strong Cranbrook side and another impressive 1-0 win meant they qualified first in Kent, and are now through to Regionals.
The girls work rate was outstanding throughout all the games. From their solid defence, not conceding a goal all day, to the goal-scoring forwards, the whole team played their part in what was an incredible tournament. All the girls should be very proud of this achievement and their tireless efforts throughout the day.
