The U13 girls’ cricket team had an incredible day competing in the Chance to Compete tournament on Tuesday, showcasing their skills, determination, and teamwork. The tournament saw them face three schools—Dover College, Highworth Grammar, and Ursuline College—where they delivered outstanding performances, winning two out of three games.

Match 1: U13 Girls vs Dover College
The day began with an exhilarating match against Dover College. The team displayed strong batting and precise fielding to secure a commanding victory. The opening batters set the tone with quick runs, while the bowlers followed up with remarkable accuracy, effectively restricting the opposition’s score. Every player contributed brilliantly, and their teamwork truly shone.

Match 2: U13 Girls vs Highworth Grammar
The second match against Highworth Grammar was a closely contested game. Despite their best efforts, the girls were narrowly defeated. The match highlighted their resilience and fighting spirit, with several standout individual performances, including spectacular shots and athletic fielding. Although they didn’t secure the win, the team held their heads high and took valuable lessons into the next match.

Match 3: U13 Girls vs Ursuline College
The final match of the day saw the team bounce back in style against Ursuline College. Their energy and confidence were palpable as they dominated the game with both bat and ball. The bowlers excelled under pressure, taking crucial wickets, while the batters chased down the target with determination and flair. It was a well-deserved victory, capping off an impressive tournament.
