On Wednesday, Sutton Valence School proudly hosted the annual U11 Hockey Tournament, where 11 local Prep Schools competed for the historic Underhill Trophy, in a fantastic day of hockey.

11 schools attended; SVPS, Ashford Prep, Kent College Prep, Somerhill, Russell House, St Michael’s, Marlborough House, Vinehall, Junior King’s, Dulwich and Spring Grove – who brought two teams! Divided into groups, the teams played three matches each before advancing to semi-finals or classification games. With over 100 girls giving their all on the field, we witnessed some superb hockey! A special thanks to our fantastic Lower Sixth Sports Leaders for their focus and communication while umpiring.

The final standings are as followed, a huge congratulations to all involved in an excellent afternoon of hockey.

1^st – St Michael’s, 2^nd – Junior King’s, 3^rd – Kent College Canterbury & Ashford (shared), 5^th – Somerhill, 6^th – Marlborough House, 7^th – Sutton Valence Prep & Spring Grove A (shared), 9^th – Spring Grove B & Dulwich (shared), 11^th – Russell House, 12^th – Vinehall.
