This year’s excellent A Level results placed the School in a very high position in comparison to other similar schools. We use CEM data, based on the ALIS tests our pupils take at the start of the Sixth Form, to help us see the value we add to every pupil at our school. CEM (Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring) assessments enable schools to understand an individual student’s ability and potential as well as measure progress. With this data, teachers can set realistic and motivational targets, to maximise potential. Value added data shows us how much the high quality of our teaching and resources affect the outcomes of our pupils. Some especially pleasing results can be found in French, where we are now placed in the top 4% of similar schools. We are also within the top 10% in both Media and Psychology and the top 20% in Religious Studies and Spanish. These results clearly show the exceptional progress our pupils make over the course of their A Levels.
