Last Thursday, our First, Second and Fourth Form pupils were excited to welcome Peter Milne from Target 4 Green to the School to hear his talk on climate change.
Darcey Bird (First Form) said, “During the talk, Peter showed us a video about climate change. It was very shocking and scary because the video showed fire, deforestation and misuse of plastic. The video inspired me to help the planet more. To do this, I am going to check where the clothes and food I order come from, use less plastic and take showers instead of baths.
My favourite part of the presentation was the video because it was very important and eye-catching. I also liked the part where we got to ask questions because there were some that were very helpful and educational.
I am proud to be a member of the eco-club and will continue to keep helping the planet.”
Grace Groves (First Form) also reported, ” I was so shocked by some of the information Peter shared during the video. It was shocking because it showed fires, polar bears becoming extinct and littering – my jaw was on the floor. The presentation has inspired me to help the planet more. To do this, I am going to pick up litter, eat less meat, find out where my food and clothes come from, use less plastic and have more showers than baths.
I am proud to be a member of the eco-club in School, so we can share our ideas on how we can work as a School and help the planet and environmental issues. My favourite part was the video as it was so eye-catching and I liked some of his research.”
Thank you to Miss Oliver for arranging such an inspiring talk.
