An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Over the weekend, Evie Smith (First Form) swam in the English Schools’ Swimming Association National Finals, held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield, representing South East England.
Evie was racing in the Junior Girls’ category, meaning she was up against girls in both her age group and the year above her.
She competed in three races in total: The 4 x 100m Medley relay (swimming the breaststroke leg) winning a silver medal The 200m Individual Medley, achieving 5th place The 200m breaststroke, coming in 9th place
