The aquatic excitement continued to ripple through our School community as we celebrated not one but two exhilarating events: the Junior (Year 3 and 4) and Senior (Year 5 and 6) Swim Galas at Sutton Valence School. On Tuesday, our Junior swimmers took to the pool, demonstrating their prowess in a series of competitive races. The freestyle events saw thrilling victories, setting the stage for a day filled with outstanding performances. The splash dash provided a platform for our swimmers to demonstrate their remarkable progress. In the end, as the final scores were tallied, Hever emerged triumphant, claiming the coveted first place position. However, every participant contributed to the success of the gala, with Bodiam securing fourth place, Leeds claiming third, and Rochester narrowly edging out for second place.
On Thursday, it was time for our Senior swimmers to take centre stage. The pool was once again a hive of activity as pupils showcased their talents in the freestyle events, with some earning well deserved victories. In the breaststroke races, they demonstrated their skill and determination, adding to the excitement of the gala. The backstroke events were equally thrilling, with several pupils emerging triumphant in their respective races. The Senior gala was a testament to the talent and dedication of our swimmers, with Bodiam emerging as the deserving winners. Rochester claimed second place, with Hever and Leeds securing third and fourth place respectively.
