Last Friday saw over 50 pupils take part in a number of Cross-Country events and SVPS athletes performed really well in all of their races. The annual Rawlinson Run, held at Dulwich Prep, Cranbrook saw a team of children from Years 2, 3 and 4 take part in races run over 600 to 1200 metres.
In Year 2, Isabelle M came third in her race, whilst Oscar E L finished second in the boys race. In the Boys U8 race Luca M came in tenth, whilst Amy J was second in the Girls U9 race, Benjamin L came second in the Boys U9 race and Theo L third. This meant that SVPS finished in fourth place in the overall team standings. A great effort!
Over on the other side of Kent, the Boys and Girls U11 squads were competing in the inaugural Brooke and Barrett race at Cobham Hall. The Girls U11 team dominated the proceedings, with our athletes being placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th and unspringing taking home the overall Girls Team trophy. Not to be outdone the Boys U11 team who also ran incredibly well as a team and picked up the overall Boys Team trophy. It was a great day of Cross Country running and well done to all those involved!
