The Second Form Art students in Miss Peart Price’s class are working on a still-life project this term. A still-life is a drawing or painting that focuses on still objects. Students have been practising their first-hand observational drawing skills using pencil and oil pastels. It is quite impressive what objects you can find hidden in Gulland Hall.
Over the term, students have also researched and analysed the still-life artwork of Pablo Picasso and re-created his still-life artwork using acrylic paint.
‘To draw you must close your eyes and sing’ – Pablo Picasso.
