In Design and Technology, Year 4 created stick worry friends, an SVPS take on the ancient Mayan worry doll. According to legend, Guatemalan children tell their worries to the worry dolls, placing them under their pillow when they go to bed at night. By morning the dolls have gifted them with the wisdom and knowledge to eliminate their worries.

Year 4 used their design skills to create their very own, unique stick worry friend; a companion for these uncertain, surreal times. They tied carefully picked up sticks together, to create a stick figure. Then they had the challenge of transforming it into a personality! Year 4 designed and made clothes for their stick worry friend, along with enhancing their appearance with hair and a face!  The results left Mrs Savage with no worries that Year 4 are fantastic, innovative designers!
