After finding out about the Penny Black, commemorative stamps, the meaning of philately and the process of stamp design, Year 5 were confident using elements from William Morris’ famous designs to create their own original stamp design.
The result – first-class compositions capturing nature and colour. Did you know when designing a stamp there are only two rules; it must have the head of the queen or king and it must show the postage value. Year 5 have designed artworks that not only look good but also perform a function.
