After a break of a couple of years, due to Covid, on the last day of term, the ever-popular staff Christmas raffle returned, bigger and better than ever! This year, all proceeds went to the Salvation Army, Maidstone branch. As well as staff donating prizes, local businesses also very generously donated some wonderful prizes.
Local businesses who supported us were: The Chapel Down Winery, Foodies in Headcorn, Tap 17, Bake My Day, Charmian Beaton Jewellery, Speedgate, Hathor Beauty, Restoring Health, The Plough at Langley, Krishna Indian Restaurant, Rumwood Nurseries, Hollamby Family Butchers, Short ‘n Sweet, Sweet William, Little Shop of Fabrics and Adventure Island in Southend.
The staff raffle made a total of £409.30 which our volunteers, Alice Chew Johanna Meyer and Savannah Taylor (all Lower Sixth), presented to Marion Rouffet of the Salvation Army on Wednesday this week.
A huge thanks to Ms Austen, Mrs Black, Mr Carr and Ms Grant for all of their help with this fundraising initiative.
