We are delighted to announce that all 20 students who completed their Level 3 Qualification in Sports Leadership successfully passed. The Sports Leaders course is a nationally recognised qualification, which helps develop key skills such as communication, self-management, problem-solving and teamwork whilst improving confidence through leading purposeful, safe and enjoyable sports activities.
The content of the course uses a mix of practical delivery and reflective practice. Students are supported throughout the course by Mr Dawling, Strength and Conditioning Coach, along with the various Heads of Sport, predominantly working with the Juniors during Games and Sports fixtures.
Through this model, the students learn about the key skills and behaviours that are required to become effective Sports Leaders whilst gaining valuable experience through the practical delivery of the sessions.
All the students should be commended for all their hard work, flexibility and endeavour to complete the Sports Leaders course through this challenging time. The junior pupils have benefited hugely from the well-delivered sessions, support and care they received through the course from our Sport Leaders.
