Last Friday, our annual sponsored walk brought together the entire school community, including students from all year groups, families, friends, and staff. Despite the wet weather and gloomy skies, everyone took on a 4-5 mile walk along public footpaths, demonstrating a strong sense of community. The pupils walked in groups with staff stationed at checkpoints, helping to keep spirits high and ensuring they stayed on course.
The event aimed to raise money for two charities particularly close to the school. One is the Jack the Lad charity, founded in memory of OS Jack Howe and supported by the friends and family of Jack Fenton OS, who was tragically killed in July 2022. The other is CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), in memory of Clayton Olson, who sadly passed away in April 2022. Thanks to your incredible fundraising efforts, CRY will be returning to the school in October.
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated and supported these vital causes.
