Last Friday, the School took advantage of the beautiful Indian Summer to take part in the annual sponsored walk. This is a whole School activity and involves everyone in our community, from parents to pupils to staff, walking almost six miles over public footpaths through the stunning Kent countryside. It is at the heart of our annual efforts to raise monies for worthwhile causes, and keep us mindful of our privileged position here at Sutton Valence School. With money still trickling in, the total fund at present stands at just under £1,200, which will go to the Royal British Legion Institute to mark the 80th anniversary of the beginning of World War 2. Everyone managed to finish the walk sun-kissed and exhausted, but exhilarated.
