During the Half Term holiday, the Senior Cricket squad travelled to Cape Town, South Africa. The tour was a fantastic success with the team competing well on the pitches and making some lifetime memories off the pitch.
On the pitch, the team had notable wins against Edgemead School and Langa Cricket Club, whilst suffering close losses to Paarl High School, Bridge House School and Somerset College.
Off the pitch, the squad visited the Robben Island Prison where Nelson Mandela was held captive during the apartheid years, they climbed Table Mountain where they took in the breathtaking views and had an open-top bus tour around Cape Town taking in the spectacular sights and visiting some outstanding beaches. The group also saw its fair share of wildlife including cheetahs, seals, penguins, baboons and eagles.
Cape Town was a delightful location to play top quality Cricket whilst having several experiences and visits that were truly fantastic – it was certainly a Senior Cricket Tour to remember.
Thank you to Mr Howell and Mr Wells for arranging the trip and accompanying the boys to South Africa!
