An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Last Saturday, as part of the research methods topic in Psychology, students were tasked with a sampling exercise using skittles. The skittles were the target population and pupils had to obtain participants by using different sampling methods. At the end of the exercise, they had to evaluate the sampling methods, deciding which method produced the most representative sample. The reward for completion of the exercise – they were able to eat their population!
