After completing Silver practice expeditions during June, two groups of Fifth Form pupils went on to complete their Silver qualifying expedition during the first week of the summer holiday. A group of Lower Sixth students also attempted their Gold practice.
Unfortunately, due to Covid, they could not camp but they certainly made it up with the length of their daily walks. They all had to put up tents and cook a hot meal each day before they could go home. During the last week of the summer holiday, we had another group from the Summer Term completing their Silver qualifying. This time they were allowed to camp as they would normally, except they were in individual tents.
Pupils are taking social distancing seriously as they kept well-spaced, even when they are walking outside. Next stop, the Lake District!
