On Friday, we welcomed Sevenoaks School for an Athletics meet, featuring our First and Second Form students. This was our first Athletics meet of the year and was well-received by all involved.

It was a fantastic day and several School records were broken, all in the U13 age group:

Boys Javelin – Ben Wilding (Second Form) threw 33.63 metres, breaking the record of 32.1 metres held by Archie Yorke (Upper Sixth) since 2017;

Girls Javelin – Tess Hodson (Second Form) threw 24.17 metres, breaking the record of 22.9 metres held by Molly Stevens (2014 L) since 2008;

Girls High Jump – Evie Smith (Second Form) jumped 1.55 metres, breaking the record of 1.46 metres held by Maisie Rixon (2019 F) since 2016;

Girls 1500m – Evie Smith ran it in 5 minutes 26 seconds, breaking the record of 6 minutes 4 seconds held by Katie Harrison (2019 C) since 2014.

Our Sixth Form sports leaders and coaches, who assisted our Sports staff in the running of the track and field events, did an amazing job.

Well done to our record breakers and to everyone who was involved in such an enjoyable event!
