After a difficult motor racing season, Joshua Miller (Fourth Form) has been going from strength-to-strength.
With ages ranging from 14 to 17 years old, most of the boys have come from either their native National series or the World Karting series, with vast experience. Josh on the other hand is one of the youngest in the Ginetta Junior Championships, with no prior racing experience and only last year’s testing programme as experience under his belt.
The Championships are the only series worldwide that can be entered at 14 years old, and they have produced some of today’s top world endurance, Le Mans, GT and Formula 1 drivers. In fact, it was only three years ago that McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris came second in the Ginetta Junior Championships.
Last weekend in the season’s rounds 10 and 11, Josh managed to secure seventh place in Race One and then an incredible podium third place in Race Two. This was broadcast on ITV and Josh was interviewed by Louise Goodman.
This weekend, he is racing in rounds 12, 13 and 14 at Silverstone, where the teams have been testing for the last two days. We are extremely proud of how far he has already come and wish him all the luck for this weekend’s races.
