Despite still not being able to swim on mass, pupils in Year 3 to 6 have thoroughly enjoyed PE this half term. The Juniors have been focusing on Basketball and the Seniors have been practising Badminton.
These two sports are fantastic at developing ball, racket, hand-eye and team skills. Our Juniors have developed their dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding and defending. More recently they have gained further knowledge of Basketball rules by playing small-sided games.
Our Seniors, to begin with, found Badminton a little tricky as it’s a very different style of striking/hitting compared to Tennis, which they did before Half Term. They have improved their serving, overhead shots and consistency. In the last couple of lessons, they have played out some exciting matches with some long rallies.
