Who doesn’t love a good story…? It could be fantasy, mystery, autobiography, or a spooky horror. And it could be enjoyed out in the garden on a hot summer’s day or curled up by the fire with a steaming hot chocolate.
“You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book!” Dr Seuss
World Book Day was celebrated on the 4th of March this year on Zoom, but not to worry as we still saw everyone’s fabulous costume ideas! I have had many happy memories of World Book Day in the past from dressing up myself – my favourite was when I dressed up as a wooden spoon! I love to see the teachers in their amazing costumes! This year I went as someone from Malory Towers with a boater and my mum’s old lacrosse stick. It’s easy just dressing up your top half as you only see that in the Zoom cameras.
I’ve recently read this fantastic book called Scarlett and Ivy by Sophie Cleverly (it’s a series) and I have honestly been spooked by it. It’s a story about a creepy boarding school called Rookwood school where two students disappear. I love the diary entries, waiting to be found to solve this mystery of finding the two lost girls.
I give it five stars as I just couldn’t put the book down!
