An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Several of our First Form English students took part in an end of term Zoom call with residents of Sutton Valence Care Home, to share poetry readings and Easter wishes.
The students and residents took it in turns to recite their favourite poems on a wide variety of subjects, such as friendship, spring, vampires, growing up and facelifts. A couple of the residents had written their own poems, especially for the event. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we all look forward to meeting again after the holidays.
