Last Friday, a group of Sutton Valence boarders was fortunate to travel to the Nepalese-British Army base, Invicta Garrison for an evening of culture and some fantastic performances as the soldiers prepared for their upcoming festival. On arrival, we had a wonderful Nepalese curry hosted by the staff. We then visited the area used by the soldiers for religious worship, to encourage positive energy and bring them good luck. After that, we went to a marquee where we saw a variety of performances, ranging from war style routines to pop-dance and even slapstick. Everyone in the audience was captivated and it rounded off a great night.
We would like to thank Mr Head and Miss Barden for organising the trip as well as the staff at the Nepalese-British Invicta Garrison for hosting a wonderful and insightful evening.
