NCO Leavers’ Dinner

On Thursday evening, the NCOs, staff, Headmaster and guests from the Armed Forces and other CCFs gathered to “dine out” the Upper Sixth NCOs. This is a military tradition when people leave to thank them for the time and service. Guests included representatives from 1RSME,Queen’s Gurkha Engineer, 2RGR, SERFCA and MGS.

The culmination of the evening was the speeches from the outgoing NCOs. They all spoke fantastically well, reflecting on their time in the CCF and the skills learnt.

The end of the evening culminated in the award of the Sword of Honour. This is given to the Upper Sixth NCO who best exemplifies the qualities of the CCF, namely commitment, responsibility, self-reliance, resourcefulness, endurance and perseverance. This year the worthy recipient of the Sword of Honour was Vardy S.
