Pointillism, Expressionism, Fauvism, Impressionism, Surrealism and Cubism… What do all these words have in common?
Art Club artists are moving with the times and discovering each of the related artistic vocabularies. They moved through modern art history in order to familiarise themselves with the different art movements. Art movements are the collective titles that are given to artworks, which share the same artistic ideals, style, technical approach or timeframe. Choosing three different art movements, the Art Club children created a flower triptych. Observing carefully, they drew the same flower three times; applying different techniques and styles in order to reflect the different art movements and move their drawing skills on with the times.
