Over the month of November 7 Upper Sixth boys took part in Movember. All together they raised over £2800. A big well done to you all and thank you to everyone who donated.

Musa S (Upper Sixth) raised £250 for Save the Children

I am taking part in Movember to raise money for Save the Children. I have chosen this charity because the amount of humanitarian works the charity has accomplished over the years has been ground-breaking from helping 8.4 million children last year through their education programmes to handing our 2,300 direct grants to low-income families.

Faisal J (Upper Sixth) raised £578 for Movember

I’m choosing to support Movember as my charity of choice because of the brilliant work they’ve done in pioneering awareness around men’s health over the last decade.

Brook H (Upper Sixth) raised £458 for Movember

I have chosen to take part in Movember because I want to raise awareness on men’s mental health. I want to raise money for Movember because of the incredible work they do to break down the stigma on men’s mental heath.

Jack P (Upper Sixth) raised £474 for Pancreatic Cancer UK

I would like to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer research because it is a charity close to my heart and I want to raise awareness of the disease.

Najeeb A (Upper Sixth) raised £400 for Cancer Research UK

I am doing Movember to help raise money for Cancer Research because I believe that everyone can make a difference especially when it comes to something as serious as this. Since we are doing this at the School it can help spread awareness and hopefully motivate others around me to get involved in any other charity events.

Monty R (Upper Sixth) raised £290 for Cancer Research UK

I have chosen to do Movember, in honour of my Grandfather who I never got to meet. This is why I have chosen to support Cancer Research. I would like to help raise money to go towards Cancer Research so hopefully one day the disease that takes many of our loved ones away from us too early can be cured.

Harry W (Upper Sixth) raised £356 for Evelina London Children’s Charity

I am taking part in Movember on behalf of Founder’s house which is why I would like to raise money for our house charity, Evelina. The money goes to a great cause helping children in need. I wanted to complete this Movember challenge because it is a great way to raise money for a good cause whilst having fun.

Movember would not have happened this year if it was not for the wonderful organisation and powerfully persuasive powers of Elizabeth P (Upper Sixth). She really stepped up and has been tremendous.
