A message for the children:
Only three more sleeps and we will all be back together at our wonderful School! When you arrive on Monday morning, do take in the beauty of our School. It has been looking stunning in the spring sunshine; the flowers are starting to bloom, the drive is now lined with snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils and the evenings are getting much lighter.
When you leave the School site in the evening, look up towards the sky; there have been some stunning sunsets recently, which force you to pause.
As Monday approaches, I hope that you are all excited to be heading back to School; at last, you will see your friends whom you last saw before Christmas.
In preparation for your return, the teaching team in Pre-Prep have been making sure your first week has lots of opportunities for you to catch up with your friends, re-learn the rules of playtimes and, of course, sharing games. Heading off to playtime is a busy time. There is a lot to see, much to talk about and a whole host of games to play. Remember, if you have a problem or a difficulty, talk to your class teachers and teaching assistants; they are here to help you solve problems and guide you back into School life once more.
I hope that everyone uses this weekend to get organised for returning to School. Ensure you have packed your bag and your School clothes are laid out ready and prepared. In Pre-Prep, particularly, see if you can organise this yourself and don’t forget your water bottle!
Before I sign off, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Year 2 pupils for an incredibly successful charity week. Over the course of the last five days, the children have been participating in a triathlon, including skipping, cycling and even trampolining! Throughout the week, the children have pushed themselves to complete lots of activities. The money they have raised will go to United World Schools, to raise money for the Hile School in Nepal. At the time of writing, the total stands at just over £2,756. Our goal was £200, which we clearly have surpassed. Thank you so much for your support with this charity event and congratulations Year 2 on a fantastic fundraising week!
