Message from the Head of Prep:

“It has been fantastic to see the children racing into school each morning this week, ready to embrace all that 2020 has to offer! I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the pupils’ holiday adventures and seeing them knuckle down to their learning with such enthusiasm! We welcome a number of new families to the SVPS community and I would like to take this opportunity to wish our new children and their parents every happiness during their time at Sutton Valence.

As I mentioned in the beginning of term letter, our Growth Mindset Learning Powers for this half term are tenacity and bravery. Already, it has been very pleasing to see children focusing on these skills both in and out of the classroom. I have seen many examples of our pupils working with determination and their bravery has even extended to trying new food in the Dining Hall. What a great start to the new term!

It was with great pleasure that, on Monday, I announced our new Prefects for this term and I was delighted to appoint Alex B and Tilly C as Head Girl and Head Boy. Throughout their time at SVPS, these two modest children have quietly gone about helping others and using their initiative by seeing what needs doing and doing it. I have no doubt they will prove to be wonderful role models for the whole School as they both embody the School ethos of ‘each cares of all’.”
