This week has been dedicated to our Mental Health Campaign. Throughout the week, we, as a School, have been discussing Mental Health, the impact and effects it has and how to manage mental wellbeing.
Our theme has been ‘Just a Few Words’, inspired by a campaign that encourages you to reach out to elderly people in a bid to fight loneliness and brighten up someone’s day. You can find out more about this campaign here – https://www.ageuk.org.uk/get-involved/volunteer/donate-your-words/
We also continue our campaign ‘Have you ten minutes?’ – a subliminal message that someone needs to talk.
Today is Mufti Day, where we have been raising money for the Sam West Foundation. We were also lucky enough to have Ben West present to our Year groups about mental health, how to manage poor mental health and key tips to reduce the stigma around talking about your mental health. You can donate to the Sam West Foundation here – https://www.samwestfoundation.org/. We also welcomed Annie Price, an inspiring role model for people facing challenges throughout their lives.
