Lord-Lieutenant’s Award

Each year, the Lord-Lieutenant – currently The Lady Colgrain – appoints young people to serve as the Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet. These cadets are selected from all cadet forces in Kent, and the appointment is recognised as one of the highest honours a cadet can achieve. When on duty, the Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet wears a distinctive badge to signify their role. They assist the Lord-Lieutenant as needed, often on parade for Royal visits, and serve as ambassadors for their organisations and young people in the region.

On Thursday evening, The Lady Colgrain appointed her Cadets for the year, and we are proud to announce that Cadet RSM Filipp R was chosen. This is a prestigious honour and very well-deserved, recognising his dedicated service to Sutton Valence CCF and the broader community, particularly his commitment to enhancing the CCF experience for all members – from new Third Form recruits to senior NCOs.

We wish Filipp the best of luck in the coming year as he performs his official duties.
