An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Year 1 have had a wonderful time during Maths week, experiencing so many areas of Maths whilst having fun with jelly beans. On our interactive Maths table the children have been measuring length in jelly beans as well as using rulers to measure length. Jelly beans have been great for estimating, weighing and sorting activities. Year 1 have also been creating and reading graphs and charts of jelly bean data. Problem solving tasks, using jelly beans, encouraged the children to apply their mathematical learning in a fun way!
