This term, a small group of Fifth Form students escaped the stress of revising for their RCAs by attending International Cooking Club in their activity slot each Thursday.
Over the past few weeks, they have made pizzas, teriyaki salmon and chicken, sushi and finished with a bake-off. The highlight was the sushi-making workshop, led by Japanese student Tomomo Hirota (Lower Sixth).
Jodie Russell said, “I really liked making sushi and I loved spending time with my friends making exciting new food.” Lily Goodwin agreed, saying, “I most enjoyed making sushi and experimenting with different recipes that I’d not tried before.” Special mention must go to Will Ervine, who participated in the cooking from home.
