This week, we have welcomed new students and their parents of next year’s First, Second and Third Forms, as well as preparing our current Second Form to move up from the Juniors. It is always such an interesting time with a mix of emotions, such as nerves and anxiety, as well as having so many questions about the next stages in their educational journey. We have made great efforts to encourage them and make them feel as welcome as possible. Seeing the students enjoying themselves outside in the sunshine on BM and Lower, I am sure that they had a good time at their induction events. We wish them all the best in their next chapters.
We are also very much in trip season with the Second Form heading to London earlier this week and various Lower Sixth students heading on Geography and Economics excursions. There is much excitement too for the LWOST (Last Week Of The Summer Term) programme. There is plenty to fit in until the end of term!
Next week I look forward to some large scale events such as the Junior Play, Sports Day, the Leavers’ Service and, of course, Speech Day and the Ball a week Saturday. I know that a great deal of work goes on behind the scenes preparing for these events and that those involved on the day put in a lot of effort – thank you to everyone who will make them great occasions. See you all there!
