The shorter days and chillier climate have not dampened spirits and we have had another very good week here at the Senior School.
In our assembly today, as well as applauding our Movember-style fundraising, giving out Duke of Edinburgh Award certificates and encouraging our ongoing Eco Committee plans, I talked about the role of creativity in education. Referring to the great educationalist Ken Robinson, I challenged us all to think about how we can find creativity in all walks of life and how we can grow together on the creative front. There are so many wonderful opportunities for our students here, I hope that they will continue to grasp them all.
I am about to head down to the Library for the Lower Sixth Essay Competition evening with our special guest Emil Evans (2016 C). I look forward to some thought-provoking material and interesting conversations.
Finally, you will see correspondence from Mr Farrell about our routines in relation to the pandemic. I am very grateful to everyone for following the guidelines that we are putting in place to try to have as safe a school as possible and minimize the likelihood of transmission and isolation. We are all in this together as a community.
Best wishes for the weekend,
James Thomas
