During the Headmaster’s Assembly today, we were delighted to learn that Elliot Gooding (Upper Sixth) has been awarded a Headmaster’s Copy Prize for his incredible portrait, named The Marching Bandsman.
Mr Thompson, Head of Art, said, “The majority of this canvas was produced during lockdown, which typifies Elliot’s mature and independent approach to A level Art. The character of this painting and its attention to detail (particularly in the brass instruments) are both integral to its success – a great example for younger artists to follow.”
