Team Owls had an exciting week getting ready to throw a surprise 18th birthday party for Millie, one of our lovely Australian Gaps. The children were determined that Millie would have a birthday to remember despite the fact that she is so far from home so, in typical Sutton Valence style, they ensured Millie knew she was celebrating with her SV family and even taught her how to play musical bumps!

As with all good birthday parties, we sang Happy Birthday (accompanied by the Year 3 owls who Mrs Lordon had prepared with percussion instruments), tucked into cake, danced to some music and Mr Betts even changed the SVPS flag for an Australian one in Millie’s honour!
