An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Year 5 have been constructing funky farm animal sculptures from cardboard. The design criteria being that: it had to be 3D and stand-alone. Varieties of different construction methods were discussed and the children used their initiative and originality to apply a chosen method to designing and creating their sculpture. They were encouraged to use as little glue and tape as possible, some used none at all, instead cutting slits and slotting pieces into place!
