On Monday, 45 First Form students travelled to Reculver, on the north coast of Kent, to conduct field studies. This area, rich in geological and archaeological history, is one of the most rapidly changing stretches of the Kent coastline. The trip was an excellent opportunity to investigate a coastal environment whilst also enjoying the beauty of Kent. Students focused on the management features of the landscape, seeing both hard and soft engineering at various points. At first, the weather looked rather bleak but the sun duly shone on us and allowed for a wonderful experience by all. I would like to thank all the staff and students for the positive enthusiasm with which each task was approached.
