Drama is not always about the razzamatazz on stage, big performances and belting out songs! It is also about subtleties and micro-movements. This week, in Drama, our Year 5 pupils have begun to look, and feel, for tiny actions during their class activities.
In groups of four, the children stood in a line, each drawing on the back of the person in front of them, what they felt on their back. The powers of concentration were at their highest, as each child centred on what they can feel, transferring it. The photograph below shows the process from our first group and the progression from left to right! Why is this Drama? As well as confidence building and developing non-verbal communication skills, the children will enhance their focus: a key skill for when it is their time to shine on stage!
