An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Year 3 has been working on their ‘Digital Art’ topic this term. They have been using the Pixilart software and have been getting to grips with the various tools by creating some different pieces of artwork.
They learnt about the line and bucket tool, by recreating a Mondrian style picture; they have also become more aware of what pixels are and what they represent, by copying a pixel art picture of Minnie Mouse. They have compared the different ways to manipulate the screen either via touch or trackpad and discussed which input works better for each process.
