In the words of Albert Einstein, “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” Reception children have been creating masterpieces in Mathematics. Bursting with an expressive energy, the children used their bodies to make symmetrical poses and paint to create symmetrical patterns. Experimental fun!
Their super symmetry-inspired creativity extended outdoors and the children used natural materials such as leaves, twigs, clay and feathers to construct beautiful, balanced birds in Forest School. Hands-on fun!
From using the forces of natural resources to learning about the scientific forces of floating and sinking, the Reception children are developing their understanding of the world with a creative mindset. Creating snow globes to demonstrate floating and sinking deepened understanding and offered wonderful opportunities to further links with Art and Design Technology. Learning is fun!
