An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Last week, our Year 4 and 5 pupils were getting very creative and extremely mathematical! In Year 4, they created sparkling shapes with sticks and then took to the geoboards and created shapes, symmetrical patterns, and tessellation with Loom Bands.
In Year 5, they created area and perimeter houses. They had to work out the amount of paint needed, the area and perimeter of the roof, windows doors, and extensions. Lots of learning yet in a creative way!
