An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Following the Government announcement that schools will be involved in mass testing of pupils and staff, we have been busy transforming the Sports Hall into a testing centre.
We have been trialling the process with our on-site staff and are ready to be fully functioning for when pupils and staff return.
The process involves the use of a lateral flow device – the same system used in mass asymptomatic test sites. A swab is taken from the throat and nose and the result is available in 30 minutes.
