During the Headmaster’s Assembly today, we were delighted to learn that Ben Knighton (Lower Sixth) has been awarded a Headmaster’s Copy Prize, for his outstanding CREST project investigating and improving electromagnetic energy transfer.
His 10,000-word report includes detailed research and explanations of high-level Physics concepts. He has built a complex experimental set up that demonstrates the transfer of energy through induction, such as in wireless charging systems.
Ben has dusted down old electronic equipment from the Physics department cupboards and repurposed them in very ingenious ways. His report is illustrated with his own hand-drawn diagrams and photos. Now, with the ink barely dry on his CREST project, Ben has already started his next venture – an EPQ on Artificial Intelligence.
Well done, Ben!
