Are you looking for a Christmas tree? Our Sixth Form students are giving all members of our community the opportunity to win the Christmas tree that is in T.C’s (the Sixth Form café) at the end of term, whilst supporting a cause that is close to all of our hearts.
The Sixth Form wish to support the Tom Lazarides Foundation as their nominated charity. Tom is an Old Suttonian, who unfortunately suffered a life-changing event in June when he fractured his neck in two places. His spinal cord is not entirely severed and we want to do our best to raise money for Tom’s recovery. As part of the Sixth Form’s efforts to raise awareness and support charitable causes, we have formed a Christmas Tree Committee, led by Charlie Hadley and supported by his team of Joe Dale, Cameron Lamont-Brown, Sophie Lee, Edward Marsh, Patrick Mullen, Denby Timlin and Molly Veasey (all Upper Sixth).
The Committee will be decorating the tree, videoing it and broadcasting the video in the Sixth Form assembly on Monday 7th December and then to the whole School in the Headmaster’s assembly on Friday 11th December.
To be in with a chance of winning the tree, we will be running a raffle for £1 per ticket next week. The winner will be announced during the Headmaster’s assembly on the last day of School. We would be extremely grateful for your support as we look to raise money for this important cause. If you would like to buy a ticket, please ensure that students have a little cash on them next week. Good luck to all involved!
